I
create value by combining my graphic design skills, strong business background
and technical knowledge to provide you with a web presence that will meet your
goals while making the most efficient use of resources and technology.
A
typical approach might include the following steps: |
| 1) | I'll
ask you to fill out an interview form. In it you will describe your company and
its products/services, communicate your objectives, direct me to some sites you
admire, describe your competitors, as well as some technical issues. This approach
saves us both a great deal of time and helps me zero in on the best approach.
|
| 2) |
I will present you with a proposal and price quote. Unlike most design firms,
I don't track and charge for each little expense, design change, meeting, etc.
I prefer to work on a flat rate. |
| 3) | I
can secure your domain name and hosting service, if necessary. |
| 4) | Next,
the real meat of the project. I will put together one or more mockups for you
to scrutinize. After we discuss it I will modify the mockup or start over. We
will repeat this design/feedback loop until we are both satisfied that we have
a site that meets your needs. |
| 5) | Test,
test, test. This includes testing the functions, navigation, links, as well as
browser and operating system compatibility. |
| 6) | No
one can guarantee you top positioning in search engine results. In order to achieve
reasonable search engine positioning, I will install and optimize a set
of key words and description tags. |
| 7) | The
big day! I will upload your site and submit it to all the major search engines.
|
| 8) | If
you like, I can maintain your site and report on its usage statistics on an ongoing
basis. |
