The Aquarius is a charter sportfishing operation based in Barnstable, Mass. Although they had a website, they weren't satisfied with its performance. I executed a total redesign. The new site presents a more exciting and dynamic look while presenting loads of information useful to prospective clients. An interactive photo album allows past clients to see their photos and assures repeat visits. Strategic use of incoming links greatly improved Aquarius's search engine ranking.

Transformations Center for Healing & Holistic Studies presented an unusual challenge. Its owner uses this site to promote three very separate businesses: her holistic healing practice, her Egyptian tour company and her Egyptian dance seminars. She was pleased that the new site strikes a balance and presents each of her interests effectively.

Kate Whouley

Kate Whouley is a successful author. The huge response to her latest book, Cottage for Sale, Must Be Moved, prompted her to devote an entire site to answering readers' questions and providing behind-the-scenes information. It includes a photo album, an author interview, tour information, reading group questions, her biography and contact information. The site also allows visitors to purchase signed copies of the book.

The American Association of University Women asked me to create a site promoting My Turn To Learn. This is a college fair directed toward non-traditional students. The site had to be inviting and informative. The objective was not only to convince potential students to attend, but also to attract exhibitors and co-sponsors.

visionkeeper
The Vision Keeper Center in Sandwich, Massachusetts is a group practice offering a very wide range of holistic health services. Email addresses were encrypted to foil spammers who would otherwise harvest and abuse email addresses. The owner originally wanted an inspirational quotation to appear on home page which she could easily change on a daily or weekly basis. Instead we created an array of three dozen quotations and wrote a script so a new quotation is chosen at random every time the page loads.

Yeadon Photography

Yeadon Photography needed a website that would efficiently communicate their broad range of services and encourage client loyalty. A very effective menu system, the use of images, an image enlargement feature, and online photo proofing all make this possible. Automatic bookmarking and a custom browser icon help reinforce the brand and make it easy for clients to return. Within two months of the site's launch, the number of visitors per month jumped from fewer than 50 to over 1000.

Boston Jojoba Co.
The Jojoba Company grows, bottles and sells pure jojoba under the brand name HobaCare. They already had an active ecommerce site but they wanted a fresh new look that would encourage customers to order online. I redesigned the look and feel of the ordering process to make it more user-friendly. I also incorporated a parallel ordering process which is entirely in Japanese. In the first 12 months of using the redesigned site, online orders were up more than 600%.

Medical Mavericks
Medical Mavericks Inc. is a software firm which provides tailored solutions to the medical industry. Because the breadth of their services can't be summed up in a single sentence, the site includes several case studies. The objective was a very clean and efficient design that would communicate the firm's capabilities at a glance.
